Generally, there are two types of odds format: decimals and fractions.

As examples; decimals appear as 2.75, and fractions appear as 7/4.

When matched betting, we want to be working with decimals, as this is the odds format used in betting exchanges, as well as the Matchers and Calculators we’re using, and so we want to keep the format consistent throughout.

If a bookmaker displays their odds as fractions, you can simply change the format on their main page or within the settings page. If you cannot locate where to change the odds format, contact the bookmaker’s support team for help.

However, in case you are unable to change fractions to decimals in the settings, you can use the following simple equation to manually calculate this yourself:

(first number / second number) + 1

Let’s show you a few examples of how we manually calculate fractions to decimals:

  • 7/4 = 7 / 4 = 1.75 + 1 = 2.75
  • 5/2 = 5 / 2 = 2.50 + 1 = 3.50
  • 15/4 = 15 / 4 = 3.75 + 1 = 4.75
