In-Play Betting

In-Play betting is where you are placing bets while the game or race is currently in play. In-Play betting can include placing a new bet during play or cashing out an existing bet made pre-game or race.

Why should you place In-Play bets?

No matter how much you know a sport, you can never truly know the flow of a game or race until it begins. In-Play betting allows you to place bets where you can get a feel of the flow of the game or race. In-Play odds reflect the moment and so are more accurate compared to pre-game odds.

Cashing-out allows you to lock in a win or to cut your losses. Just because a team is winning, doesn’t mean that they will win by the end of the game. By cashing out when your team is winning, you can lock in that win regardless of the final outcome of that game. However, if you team is losing, you can cut your losses and lose less instead of allowing the game to finish and losing all of your money!

The downside of In-Play betting is that the odds tend to fluctuate much more often so it is harder to lock in odds that you like and you can risk place a bet on the wrongs odds if you are not quick enough!

Tips for In-Play betting

Set your yourself a range that you are comfortable to place your bet on. Odds fluctuate more often so you need to set the minimum and maximum range that you are happy with and place your bet when the odds fall within that range.

Also set yourseld a win/stop range that you are comfortable to cash out on. Decide what are the minimum winnings and maximum loss that you are happy to cash out on.
